Personal Note from Jack

This project and cohort was incredible and super fulfilling and rewarding. Learned something new almost everyday in office hours and I was able to collaborate with numerous other cohort and Scope Community members such as Matt (see report for more details), Leo, Franco, Gaddi, Will, and Jambri either directly or or indirectly on mine or their projects. Also planning on helping Dj Brad with his 4 CRT wall setup soon and made immense progress on my app and so much more!

The most rewarding part was making unbelievable strides in the accessibility arena with all the stuff I worked on with Matt (Aka Ciborg). Matt is profoundly deaf and when I found out how horrible Discord's accessibility was I shocked and decided to see what I could do about it. I then created an iOS and Android app for him and figured out how to also incorporate live transcriptions and translations directly into WallSpace.Studio. I am also a quarter deaf (cant hear vowels in my right ear) so I know how hard it can be when you cant fully comprehend what is going on around you or what is being said. So we hit it off immediately and made something truly special that I think will help the deaf community around the world in addition to creating awesome visuals with scope both for them and the hearing enabled. I think we ended up spending at least 20+ hours on video calls vibe coding both the node and WallSpace.Studio integrations over the past 2 weeks which were super fun and mind blowing over the span of the cohort.
